The beautiful Sophie, Owner of Talking To Trees, is holding her first "Strength and Flow" Yoga and Pilates fusion workshop this Saturday! The workshop will be Combining the precision of Pilates with the strength and flow of Yoga: To enhance your movement experience. You will focus on your core stabilizing muscles, hamstrings and glutes to prepare your bodies for the key Yoga asanas (postures) you tackle regularly on the mat.

 

A strong and safe approach to Yoga-lates. The workshop is for ALL levels especially beginners to both Yoga and Pilates, but be prepared to feel the burn!

ABOUT SOPHIE

 

As well as having one of the hardest names to spell! Sophie is a unique teacher. I personally have been to her classes and LOVE her approach and the way she combines a modern attitude to the historic practice. Her choice of music is fun and different and she really breaks down the poses, helping you to not only strengthen your body but, you also learn so much each class. She's a gorgeous little pocket rocket with a voice and presence that just makes you want to be around her. A very cool, calm and collected person who makes you feel at ease and welcome from the minute you step into her class. 

 

 

 

A few words from Sophie: 

 

"I have always been exposed to Yoga throughout life, but it came to me at a time in need when I was living in London. From there my passion for Yoga transformed from a focus not just on the asanas/postures to prevent the fickleness of my mind, but into the breath, meditation and the philosophy behind it. Which has now become a way of life for me, and I now have the urge to share it.

 

We hope to fill our lives with all the things that make us happy and make our life rich with creativity. Sophie has a passion for acting and Drama and spends much of her day studying Secondary Education and Drama studies. Sophie enjoys teaching a class mixed with Yin and Yang, a strong creative Vinyasa flow that is also nurturing and fluid. Sophie flows to beats and old school tunes inspired by off-road camping trips with her Dad and three brothers. She incorporates elements of Pilates to strengthen the core and warm the belly and spine, thus creating a strong foundation for the physical practice. Sophie aspires to "live" Yoga both on and off the mat. Subtly interweaving yoga philosophy into each of her creatively crafted classes"
