Are you a fan of Coconut Water? Have you tried Cocobella Coconut Water? If not then you need to get on the bandwagon.
Cocobella has made a strong name for itself in Perth as one of the top Coconut water products to buy. Their stuff is straight up! Nothing added unless you go for their flavoured range which adds only natural ingredients (the chocolate is my favourite!). This morning the health community of Perth was treated to a yummy breakfast from both Cocobella and NOOD cafe down at The City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club and got to listen to one of my favourite local guest speakers, Nikki Heyder.
Nikki is a life coach and the owner and creator of Nood Wholefoods which started out as an online catering company and has turned into an amazing cafe in Leederville. Not only that, Nikki has just opened another NOOD pop up store in Scarborough and takes on all her own personal clients as well (she's basically super woman!). I'm lucky enough to call Nikki my friend and have known her for many years and seeing her speak for the first time this morning was inspiring. Nikki gave us an insight into her world, her story and gave us some amazing tips on how to live a balanced and whole life. Joining her for the Q & A was Cocobella ambassador and Perth health influencer Naturally Nina who, as a health professional herself, quizzed Nikki on all her health secrets.
One of my favourite takeaways from Nikki's chat was when she told us the best advice she's ever been given which was, 'You need to make sure your cup is always full before you can help others.' Now, having studied health coaching myself I have heard this analogy before but, she continued it by referring to giving from your 'overflow cup'. You need to make sure that you are so full, whole and happy that your cup overflows and it's your wholeness that then helps fill someone else's cup. This analogy gave me a smile as I hadn't thought of it this way before.
There was a big turn out and it was really nice to see the health community of Perth gathering together and sharing their passion for Health and Wellness. We ate some amazing granola and chia pudding from Nikki's Cafe and of course indulged in coconut water and yoghurt from Cocobella. Everyone was taking notes, having a laugh and we each took away some lovely advice from Nikki's talk. A big thanks to Cocobella for having me down there and if you every get a chance to see Nikki speak, do it. She speaks authentically and from the heart and lets face it, she's a total babe!
If you went along this morning please comment below and tell us the best bit of advice you took from Nikki today.

WHY DRINK COCONUT WATER?
For centuries, people in tropical regions have known about the health benefits of coconut water and you just have to look at most people from those regions to see it; glowing skin, healthy bones and sun kissed, smiling faces. We all know that look after a weeks holiday, but they seem to have it all the time and I believe coconut water has a lot to do with that.
- It’s packed with antioxidants, amino acids, enzymes, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C and minerals like iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, manganese and zinc.
Not convinced? Ok, well you'll be happy to know that the micronutrients in coconut water help boost the immune system. Plus, the plant hormones in coconut water also have anti-aging and anticancer properties, so why wouldn't you drink it?
Another added bonus (and this one is especially important).......
It relieves hangovers!!
Alcohol robs your body of hydration and this dehydration causes your morning-after booze depression. Coconut water replenishes the electrolytes needed in the body and boosts hydration, thus making you feel better.
Also, the antioxidants fight oxidative stress caused by indulging in too much alcohol. It will also help settle an acid stomach.
